Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil‘s love life has had nearly as many twists and turns as his heavy metal band’s infamously rocky career. Neil, real name Vincent Neil Wharton, was already a father of a young son before Motley Crue released its groundbreaking glam metal debut album Too Fast for Love in 1981, and he’d […]

For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane,” read a statement from Neil’s representative shared via the Mötley Crüe Instagram page at the time. “On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers. In September 2025, Neil, 65, opened up about recovering from a stroke, which he suffered in December 2024.
“I had to learn to walk again, and that was tough,” the musician told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “The doctors said they didn’t think I’d be able to go back on stage again. I go, ‘No, no, I’m gonna do it. Watch and see.’”
“I went from people carrying me to the bathroom, because I couldn’t walk myself, finally to a wheelchair,” he recalled. “I graduated to a walker, and then I had a cane. Now I don’t need anything. But it’s like a full-time job getting back to where you feel good again.”
Neil added, “It takes a while to get your brain to start moving your legs, for them to do what your brain wants to do. You try to walk, but it doesn’t come out right.”
