But isn’t the Iran nuclear program gone already?

President Donald Trump has repeatedly insisted the United States has “destroyed” Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

At every rally and nearly every event, Trump speaks out about how Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities have been decimated by the United States — which bombed Iran’s Natanz and Fordow enrichment facilities in June 2025 and launched airstrikes on Feb. 28 that kicked off a now eight-month long conflict.

Trump claimed way back in 2025 that the United States had caused “monumental damage” to Iran’s nuclear program.

“Obliteration is an accurate term!” Trump wrote on Truth Social at the time.

Someone should alert the State Department that it’s got nothing to worry about — since Friday night the agency issued a $20 million reward for information on Iran’s supposedly “destroyed” nuclear program.

Under the Rewards for Justice program, which offered flyers in Arabic and English, the State Department said it’s offering not just the hefty reward but “possible relocation” to anyone who can share information:

Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $20 million and possible relocation for information about Iran’s nuclear program, including its facilities, equipment, and associated personnel, such as those in the scientific community, or the movement of any of the above.

In 2025, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that Iran is enriching uranium to 60 percent purity, a level that is a short technical step from the 90 percent required for a nuclear weapon. Iran is the only non-nuclear-weapon state to produce uranium at such a high enrichment level. Experts estimate this quantity, if enriched further, could be enough for several nuclear weapons.

The regime’s lack of compliance with the IAEA on safeguards obligations has led to the agency’s loss of “continuity of knowledge” regarding Iran’s production and inventory of key components like centrifuges.

The White House and the State Department did not immediately respond to Mediaite’s request for comment.
