Iran’s response to any new U.S. strikes will be without “geographic limits to any enemy threat,” the country’s Supreme Leader promised — as MS NOW reported the Trump administration has alerted Gulf allies that hostilities could resume as soon as Wednesday, a day after America’s midterm elections.

Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who has still yet to be seen in public more than eight months after the United States and Israel launched airstrikes on his country which killed his father, issued the seemingly ominous response Saturday, appearing to suggest a wider conflict.

“If the enemies once again launch military or terrorist attacks, it is the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine the time and conditions for ending them,” according to a statement on Iran’s official Telegram account cited by  The Times of Israel.

Khamenei, 57, also ordered military targets to include “physical and non-physical” assets in the U.S. and Israel, according to the report.

President Donald Trump’s administration has not struck Iran since early September.

But three senior Arab officials in the Persian Gulf told MS NOW they’d been briefed about the upcoming strikes. America’s critical midterm election to determine control of Congress will take place Tuesday.

One source told the network they “would not be surprised” if Gulf states were working to stop such strikes in fear of Iran’s potential response.

“We do not comment on sensitive military plans that may or may not exist. President Trump keeps all options on the table to ensure that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon,” a White House official told MS NOW.

It’s been widely reported that Trump was planning to reignite hostilities against Iran, but the MS NOW report puts the timing on the heels of the much anticipated election.
